This research seminar aims at creative and affective intervention in the museum space of Warsaw. The seminar breaks into three parts. In the first theoretical part, the participants will learn on the role of museums as social actors and memory activists. They will also familiarize themselves with those perspectives in museum studies that stress the importance of multivocality of exhibitions and with the basics of interventionist and affective museum research. In the second part, the students (divided into sub-groups) will work on their own research project whose final outcome will be an alternative audio guide tour about selected objects of one of Warsaw museums. At the end they will present this tour to other class participants and invited experts. The course is offered within the framework of the ECHOES H2020 project.
