Bartosz Pergół is a PhD student at the Doctoral School of Social Sciences at the University of Warsaw. His research interests include the sociology of art and visual culture, women artists and textile art in the 20th and 21st centuries in Eastern Europe and Latin America. His dissertation focuses on the transformations of the art field intertwined with political and social upheavals, and the materiality of women weavers’ lives and work in Poland and Argentina in the 1980s and 2000s.
