
Emina Zoletic, PhD
Emina Zoletic is a PhD student at the Doctoral School of Social Sciences, University of Warsaw. She examines the intergenerational transmission of war family memory in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Bosnian diaspora under the supervision of Joanna Wawrzyniak (University of Warsaw) and co-supervisor Chris Hewer (Kingston University, London).
She is doing a CEEPUS fellowship (March-June 2025) at the University of Vienna, Institute of Sociology, as part of Mijic’s team and her PhD thesis. For her Ph.D. research, she has been awarded the Preludium grant from the National Science Center (Poland), the Zeit Stiftung Bucerius Scholarship, and the CEFRES Junior Fellowship in Prague (Czech Republic).
She was a Fulbright visiting researcher at Syracuse University’s Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs, New York, from 2023 to 2024.
She leverages her background in psychology and a decade of clinical experience to focus on families from Sarajevo whose older members survived the war in Bosnia and their children born after the war.
