Prof. Andra Pinotti (University of Milan) will deliver a talk on "Memory, Monument, Anti-Monument: The Challenge of Virtual and Augmented Technologies".
Andrea Pinotti is a professor in Aesthetics in the department of Philosophy “PieroMartinetti”, State University ofMilanand President of the scientific council of the Fondation Maisondes Sciences de l’Homme in Paris. His research focuses on image theories and visual culture studies, virtual and augmented reality, memorialisation and monumentality, empathy theories, the morphological tradition from Goethe to the present day. He is currently directing anadvanced project funded by the ERC(European Research Council) and entitled An-Iconology. History, Theory, and Practices of Environmental Images (2019-24).
