Dr Nicolas Maslowski
Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Political Sciences and International Studies, University of Warsaw, Department of Regional and Global Studies
Nicolas Maslowski studied at the Institute of Political Science in Paris (IEP), received his PhD from the University of Paris X – La Défense Nanterre in 2009. His work focuses on Central Europe, the communist and post-communist periods, international relations, historical sociology and collective memory.
He worked at EHESS (Paris) at the CADIS research group on a project under the direction of Michel Wieviorka (2001-2003), was a CEFRES (French center for social sciences in Prague) scholar and researcher, lecturer at Charles University in Prague at the Department of Historical Sociology and at the International Relations and Diplomacy department, University of Economics (Prague). From 2016 to 2022 he was director of the Center for French and Francophone Cultural Studies at the UoW, this is a French-Polish Social Sciences and Humanities Center founded by the French philosopher Michel Foucault in 1958.
